MORMON WEDDING IN ROME
“Fruitful sun, that carry and hide the day with the burning chariot,
and new and ancient you reborn, nothing greater than Rome can ever see you! “
(Quinto Orazio Flacco, 1st century BC)
Paige and Samuel from Salt Lake City, capital of the US state of Utah, are a Mormon faith couple who have decided to seal their union in the new temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints that was inaugurated in Rome in early 2019.
People who are not of the Mormon faith, like myself, are not allowed to enter and attend the marriage ceremony (called by them “celestial marriage” or “sealing”), for this reason I made an intense photo shoot with them in the early hours of the morning in a Rome illuminated by a wonderful light and still not taken by tourists.
I know Rome perfectly, its most famous beauties and its hidden corners full of beauty,, the places chosen for the photo shoot were the Colosseum, the Pantheon, the Trevi Fountain, the Trinità dei Monti stairway, the Spanish Steps and the Villa Borghese pond.
At the end of this long and exciting tour of the beauties of Rome, we arranged to meet at the Temple for a brief photo shoot before the entrance in the LDS temple to celebrate their mormon wedding in Rome.
