MORMON WEDDING IN ROME
“Fruitful sun, that carry and hide the day with the burning chariot,
and new and ancient you reborn, nothing greater than Rome can ever see you! “
(Quinto Orazio Flacco, 1st century BC)
Samuel and Paige, a young Mormon faith couple from Salt Lake City, recently chose the historic city as the perfect location for their celestial marriage in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints that was inaugurated in Rome in early 2019.
People who are not of the Mormon faith, like myself, are not allowed to enter and attend the marriage ceremony (called by them “celestial marriage” or “sealing”).
For this reason I made an intense photo shoot with them in the early hours of the morning to take stunning, intimate photos around Rome’s most iconic landmarks in a Rome illuminated by a wonderful light and still not taken by tourists, capturing beautiful memories that will last a lifetime.
At the end of this long and exciting tour of the beauties of Rome, we arranged to meet at the Temple for a brief photo shoot before the entrance in the LDS temple to celebrate their mormon wedding in Rome.
Samuel and Paige’s wedding in Rome was a truly magical experience and one that they will never forget. The combination of the stunning city and the special meaning of the temple ceremony made for an unforgettable day.
